This week, I talked with Lexi Phillips, screenwriter, actress, director and CWU Film and Video student about the ongoing problem and lack of women with prominent roles in American cinema and television. Phillips talked with student directors, professors and professional TV actress, Jessica Marie Garcia, about this issue in-depth.
Is it something that women are being ignored opportunities? Should we speak up more, even when we aren't called on? Lexi and I dive deeper into her research from her story, "Women in Film" and try to answer these questions.
