It’s a Saturday afternoon and you are bored out of your mind. You’ve already finished all of your homework for the week and are ready for some fun. But while limiting your contact with others this can be difficult to achieve. 

Suddenly you realize that you could spend the afternoon driving up to Lion Rock Lookout with your roommate while jamming out to some of DaBaby’s top hits. It’s time for you to start your next adventure from your car; have fun!

En route to your destination, pull off to the side of the road to look out onto the vast Yakima Canyon.

Left photo: Get a high vantage point and look onto the town. Depending on the time of year, you might see rodeo practice going on in the arena below.

Right photo: Escape the barren valley for a while and go to a beach. Breath in that salty air, but maybe stay out of the water if you want to stay warm.

One of the most accessible but challenging hikes in the area is Manastash Ridge. While others walk the steep incline, take the shortcut and drive the winding dirt path to the top of the ridge.
